POUND TO EURO EXCHANGE RATE: STERLING 'SURGES' AS UK RETAIL SPENDING SOARS

THE POUND has surged against the euro to end the week on a high. Interest rates are to remain the same until next year, according to the European Central Bank which has helped sterling to recover, as well as positive UK retail sales figures.
