Kwasi Kwarteng has responded to Thursday's news that Jeremy Corbyn is seeking support from opposition parties to form a Labour-led emergency government. The business and energy minister said: "For him to be posing as a leader who's going to conciliate and unite people, I think is ridiculous". Mr Kwarteng cited the Labour leader's "disastrous" poll ratings to dismiss the idea of Jeremy Corbyn as a caretaker prime minister. Report by Jonesia.
