COURT REJECTS CID REQUEST TO ARREST GOTABAYA RAJAPAKSA

The Colombo Chief Magistrate has rejected a request made by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to arrest Lanka/' title='Sri Lanka News'>Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The CID had sought to arrest him over allegations linked to the 2005 Presidential elections and his US citizenship.
