COLD SUNEUNG DAY MORNING

Suneung test takers will need to wrap up EXTRA warm when they head out... as will the rest of us in South Korea.
As we just heard (and saw ), it's freezing outside.
For more let's now connect to Lee Jee-hyun at the weather center.
Jee-hyun, I think we can say a hundred percent now.... winter has arrived
Good morning, it is indeed a very cold morning across most regions in South Korea, with widespread cold wave alerts in place.
We have cold alerts in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon and parts of Gangwon-do Province. The thermometer points at about minus 1 degree Celsuis right now, but it feels like minus 10 degrees so bundle up. Strong wind advisories are in effect along the coast.
Temperatures will be on the cold side all day, the bitterly cold wind will make it feel colder than the actual temperature. So let's take a closer look.
Chuncheon is starting the day at minus 5 degrees, Daejeon is at the freezing mark. Yesterday's rain froze in some areas so be careful on the roads.
Sunny skies will dominate and air quality is shaping up to be normal to good. Afternoon highs will only reach the single digits for most areas.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
