MALACCA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued 63,750 summonses via 45 cameras under the Automated Awareness Safety System (Awas) during the period from Sept 1 until Wednesday (Nov 7). Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar said that of the total, 59,340 summonses involved offences for exceeding the speed limit and 4,410 summonses for breaking the traffic light.
